Jacobs Field

Picture this: It's 7 p.m. You rise from your couch, stroll a few steps to your elevator, depart the building's Huron Road entrance, and by 7:05, you're in your seat awaiting the Indians' first pitch at Jacobs Field. Ditto for Cavs basketball at "The Q" Arena. All the excitement of the $450 million Gateway complex is a 90-second walk away. You'll never fret the hassle again.

Fine Dining

30 of the city's best restaurants and pubs are just a few-minutes walk from your doorstep. And the very popular Winking Lizard and trendy Boneyard Bar are just downstairs, right within your complex.  Chef Michael Symon's restaurant Lola's, excellent seafood at the Blue Point Grille, or cajun cuisine at Fat Fish Blue, are all just a two-minute walk away.

Convenient Shopping

Tower City, the $400 million retail mall, cinema, and hotel complex, is a four-minute walk to Public Square. The famous West Side Market, with its old-world style fresh produce, meat, seafood and bakery stalls, is a mere two-minute ride from The Pointe.

Transportation

Tower City, just a few minutes walk, is the hub of the Regional Transit Authority's rapid transit and bus lines. A ride to either the Cleveland Hopkins Airport or the culturally acclaimed University Circle takes about 20 minutes.

Live Theatre and Entertainment

Walk east down Huron Road for four minutes, and you're at Playhouse Square, the largest theater restoration project in the country.  This complex of live performance venues is the largest of its kind in the United States outside of New York City.  The four theatres offer Broadway traveling companies, the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, opera, ballet and numerous other types of classical and popular entertainment.  Across the street is the Hanna Theatre, recently renovated to present cabaret-style shows.

The House of Blues is only a two-minute walk away, in the East 4th Street entertainment district.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, situated on the shores of Lake Erie, is only a two-minute drive down East 9th Street.  And the Pointe is in the heart of downtown festivals and holiday events that take place throughout the year.

Cleveland Leaders Laud The Pointe at Gateway

"The Pointe at Gateway, strategically situated between Cleveland's sports/entertainment and financial districts, is one of the most important projects for the future of downtown Cleveland. It is a hub of activity, with six million people attracted to Jacobs Field and Gund Arena, and another million down the street at Playhouse Square. The city has appropriately invested millions of dollars in improvements to infastructure and streetscape. The Pointe at Gateway will be a focal point for downtown residents, visitors and tourists well into the 21st century." Former Mayor, Michael R. White, City of Cleveland

"The Pointe at Gateway is Cleveland's key development. The project captures the dynamism of both Gateway and Playhouse Square, with a unique blend of loft-style housing and destination retail. The owners have put together a strong group of development professionals to insure the best in historic adaptive re-use, urban design, and quality construction. We salute their vision and investments in the New Cleveland." Thomas Yablonsky, Executive Director, The Historic Gateway Neighborhood

A Respect for History

The moment you enter the Pointe at Gateway, you'll savor its history. Built in 1915 as a prominent office building in Cleveland's "New Center," it housed numerous noteworthy tenants. Included were the architect later named by President Richard M. Nixon to be Architect of the Capitol Building in Washington; a renowned violinmaker, who hand-crafted stringed instruments for artists of the country's most prominent orchestras; and the Girl Scouts Council, founded by Mrs. Newton D. Baker. Many of the historic touches still remain: the high lobby ceilings, a marble staircase, the frosted glass hallway partitions on certain floors. Retrofitted in 1998 by Sandvick Architects, one of the nation's leading practitioners of historic renovation, the structure retains its early 20th century commercial style, while offering all the amenities of today's finest condo and apartment buildings.
